1986 Deed of Gift

The is a photocopy of a Deed of Gift typed and written on 4 sheets of A4 with a coloured map, and dated 24th December 1986.

It details the gift of "freehold property situate and known as Stable Cottage, Rudchester, Heddon-on-the-Wall, inteh County of Northumberland" from Mr Tom James to his daughted Miss Julia, Elizabeth Miranda James, "in consideration of his natural love and affection". The stamp duty paid appears to have been 50p - presumably because it was valued at under £30,000, which was the threshold for the tax from 13th March 1984 to 20th December 1991, according to www.stampdutyrates.co.uk/historic-rates.html.
