2002 Proposed Weight Limit

A weight limit of 7.5T was posposed for the C257 through Rudchester after a road traffic accident in which a truck carrying stone from a local quarry, was driving South, and crashed through the stone wall into the disused quarry to the East to avoid an on-coming vehicle.

Objections were raised by local land owners, and this has not been enacted.
