Rudchester Cottages

These cottages are shown on the Tithe map from 1841, opposite the double gates to Rudchester Manor front Garden. On the opposite side of the road, there is a narrow gap in the dry stone wall, which we presume led to the cottages.

They are not shown on the OS map from 1859, so we assume they were demolished and there is no visible evidence of them today.

There is a small level area in Quarry Wood where the cottages are shown on the 1855 OS map, but apart from some stone blocks, there is no physical evidence of cottages on the ground.
