1990 Search

This is an HM Land Registry Certificate of Official Search of the Index Map for "Land at Houghton Moor", Heddon-on-the-Wall, Castle Morpeth, Northumberland Map Reference NZ1066-1166 for McCarthy and Tilson, solicitors then at 184 Chillingham Road, Heaton, NE6 5BU.

The land appears to be part of the land sold to Christian Hugh Septimus James in the 1905 Conveyance, bordering on the B6528 at the bottom of the map.

Interestingly, national land registration has only been in existance since the Land Registration Act 1925 and updated to include electronic conveyencing and signatures in the Land Registration Act 2002. The last order was made in 1990, which may be why this search was done.

The result states that:
(1) The land is not registered
(2) The land is not affected by any caution against first registration or any priority notice
So was presumably registered at that point, adn now appears to be called "Land Lying To The West Of Houghton Moor,Heddon-on-the Wall, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Tenure: Freehold" on the HM Land Registry website. ".
